In the movement of a flexographic printing plate through a processing station, the leading edge is moved at right angles to the direction of travel during processing after the end of the process and pref. before the start to lock and release the plate at the conveyor draw system. Also claimed is an appts. with a carrier bar (4) with a carrier pin (11) at right angles to its direction of travel, for the plate (2) to be inserted on it. After the plate has been processed, it is moved at right angles to its line of travel. The carrier pins (11) have thickened ends (14), in a ramp shape (15) tapering to the other end of the pin (11). USE/ADVANTAGE - The system is for the movement of a flexographic printing plate through a processing station.
