The switch has a switch arm (1) with a movable switch contact mounted at the end for cooperating with a stationary counter-contact. The switch arm has a guide pin (4) displaced along a curved guide track (5) and a second guide pin (2) displaced along a linear guide (3), which acts as the pivot axis for the switch arm, at the opposite end of the latter to the movable switch contact. The other guide pin (4) lies at given distance from the pivot guide pin (2) and coupled to a knee lever device. ADVANTAGE - Secure release of breaker contacts in presence of ice. Simple to assemble and drive with saving in power consumption.
