At least one part step surface (18) is linked to the carriage and can be folded against the doors (20, 21) with at least one spring component. A further part step surface (15) is displaceable and foldable in the carriage longitudinal direction. The first part step surface (18) has a recess, in which with the step surface in the folded position and with the doors closed a projection, esp. a bolt, extends to the carriage exterior. The recess extends in the opening direction of the doors (20, 21) so that a limited opening of the doors is possible from the closed position. The bolt on its area abutting the doors has a rubber-elastic component of greater cross-section than that of itself. USE/ADVANTAGE - A railway carriage through-passage door securing arrangement which automatically comes into operation when the door is the first or the last of a train.
