On to the thin rolled or pressed and cooled wood-wool a molten material with high melting point is dripped. The speed of the process and the subsequent cooling of the wood-wool protects the material against heat damage. At the time of the dripping of the molten rock meal the wood-wool sheet is vibrated. The amt. of dripped molten rock meal binds the wood-wool to a fixed plate. On the second side of the sheet, molten rock meal is also applied. The rock meal is melted in a downwardly narrowing container from which it is dripped over the entire width of the sheet, the melting process being by microwave radiation from above, with the container vibrated. ADVANTAGE - The wood-wool has a min. load bearing capacity and is resistant to fire.
