The turbo drive installation is esp. for a ship. It consists of a gear which is simultaneously or individually driven by two drive units (10, 14), esp. gas turbine engines. The torque input from both turbines occurs on the same side (2) of an input gearwheel (16) or an input gearwheel shaft (4) of the gear (16, 22) and in the same direction of rotation. USE/ADVANTAGE - The drive for a ship's propeller is maintained by an equal tooth engagement between the driving and driven gearwheels.
