To make a retaining-wall block, a plurality of net containers (2) are placed erectly in a way of one within the other stepwise to form spaces (3a,3b,3c,...,3f) in layers between the nets to be filled with earth, including perlite, zeolite, coorongit and peat for one particular side portions. The nets are fastened on a number of strings (4) by tie thread pieces (4') to keep spacings steady and hold the earth firm between the nets, and the extensions of the strings (4) are gathered to form a rope (4a) to be buried in the earth of the wall to be constructed. The blocks formed are each covered by nets (5) on the top and bottom to be bound by strings (6). In use, the blocks are stacked stepwise for the wall face to be planted with grass and other plants, to the advantage of shortening construction time with good landscaping.
