The screw washer is used to provide a mechanical and electrical contact between a rigid circuit board (14) and a fixing screw. It comprises a sheet metal element with a base (11) having a threaded bore (17), with two integral fixing lugs (12,13) which are bent through 90 degrees to fit through respective circuit board bores (18,19). The base has a third fixing lug (21) bent through 90 degrees in the same direction as the previous fixing lugs to fit through a further circuit board bore (22). The third fixing lug pref. has a greater length than the first two lugs. ADVANTAGE - Secure mechanical fixing of screw and permanent electrical contact between screw and circuit bore.
