In the controlled feed housing (1) beneath a filling funnel (2) and a build-up chamber has one or more feed devices in the form of worms (5) arranged in a plane, and which are driven by one or more electric motors (4). Each feed device has a shaft for further delivery of the fodder to circulating fodder distribution devices. The shaft beyond each controlled feed device is a drop shaft (6) or a pressure shaft and in the controlled feed housing (1) in the area of the build-up chamber over the feed worms a stirring mechanism is arranged. The drive motors (4) are pref. three phase current asynchronous gear motors, the speed of which is adjustable by a frequency converter or manually. ADVANTAGE - The equipment has controlled feed worms, the number of which corresponds to the number of fodder planes or the number of circulating fodder distribution devices.
