Bicycle lamp switching arrangement operating when bicycle is temporarily stationary - rectifies dynamo output and charges capacitor which discharges through transistor to LED when bicycle stops

Normal lighting for the bicycle is powered by a dynamo. The new lamps illuminate when the bicycle is temporarily stationary. The dynamo AC output is rectified by diode (2) and charges up a capacitor (3) of extremely high capacity via a voltage regulator (3). In the stationary bicycle condition, the capacitor discharges through a resistor (10) and PNP transistor (9) to the LED (11). ADVANTAGE - Increased safety arrangement for cyclist requiring no battery which can became flat and incurs no switch-over delay.
