摘要 <p>This support device comprises an enclosure (3) in which the pyrometer (2) may be placed, means for causing a neutral gas to circulate between the enclosure (3) and the pyrometer (2), and a second enclosure (5) containing, in leak-tight fashion, the first enclosure (3), means for blowing compressed air in tangentially between the two enclosures and discharging it at the base of the second enclosure in order to cool the viewing tube (30), as well as a dismantlable centring connection (8) connecting the second enclosure (5) to the viewing tube (30), the outer enclosure (5) also being mounted on the roof (1) of the furnace via an elastic suspension formed of dampers (12). This arrangement protects the objective lens of the pyrometer (2) and the viewing tube from the combustion gases of the furnace by virtue of the neutral gas injected, whereas the cooling air may be uncleaned industrial air; it is further possible for the pyrometer (2) and the first enclosure (3) to be extracted from the device easily in order to replace the pyrometer. &lt;IMAGE&gt;</p>
