PURPOSE:To protect a switching element by providing a switching suppression circuit detecting the switching delay of one switching element and inhibiting both the switching elements from being conductive at the same time. CONSTITUTION:When a transistor (TR) 10 or 12 is conductive, since TRs 28, 30 of the switching suppression circuit 26A or 26B are conductive and the TR4 or 8 is nonconductive, it is necessary to make the TRs 10, 12 nonconductive at all times in order to make the TRs 4, 8 conductive. That is, even if the base of the TR10 or 12 transits to a high level, while the TRs 10, 2 or the TRs 12, 6 are not transited to the nonconductive state, the TR4 or 8 is not conductive. Thus, the flowing of the short-circuit current because of the simultaneous conduction of the TRs 2, 4 or the TRs 6, 8 is prevented, destruction of the TRs 2, 4, 6, 8 is prevented and the reliability of operation is improved. |
