The invention relates to a control and regulating system of a converter which consists of a controlled rectifier, an intermediate circuit and an invertor. According to the invention, this control and regulating system consists of three independent processors (2, 4, 6) which are each connected to one another by means of a data transmission device (10, 12), and of an analog to digital converter system (8) which is connected to one of the three processors (2, 4, 6). A compact control and regulating system is thus obtained for a converter, whose complexity and manufacturing costs are low.
