摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent any moisture from being absorbed by electrolyte and prevent any breakage of the matrix layer by continuously operating a blower in an open path state where an air circulation path is cut off and by starting the introduction of nitrogen gas into the fuel path and the air path prior to stopping the supply of a fuel. CONSTITUTION:After the load is cut off, a circulation part 2 is cut off by means of a damper (D) while an absorption and an exhaustion valve 3 and 1 are open, and the operation of a blower (BW) is continued. Prior to stopping the supply of a fuel, nitrogen-gas introduction and discharge valves 4 and 5 for the fuel system are opened to feed nitrogen gas supplied from a nitrogen source 6 into a fuel path. Since hydrogen gas in addition to nitrogen gas is flowing in the anode of the fuel cell, there is no possibility that a pressure difference occurs between the gas flowing in the anode and the air flowing in the cathode. About one to two minutes after purging of nitrogen is started, fuel supply and exhaust valves 7 and 8 are closed to stop supplying of hydrogen gas. After nitrogen-gas introduction and discharge valves 9 and 10 for the air system is opened, the amount of air sent by the blower (BW) is decreased and the operation of the blower (BW) is continued until the temperature of the stack decreases to below a given level.
