PURPOSE: To obtain a new 1,2,4-tri-oxygenated benzene deriv. useful to treat asthma, etc. CONSTITUTION: This 1,2,4-tri-oxygenated benzene deriv. is a compd. represented by formula I, e.g. 4-ethyl-2-methoxyl-5- [6-methyl-(2H-tetrazol-5-yl) heptyl]oxy}phenol. In the formula I, D is O or Si, R<1> is 1-10C alkyl, 3-8C cycloalkyl, etc., R<2> is 1-5C alkyl, 2-5C alkenyl, 1-4C alkoxyl, etc., X is -O-, -S-, -C(=O)or -CH2 -, Y is -O- or -CH2 -, X and Y may bond to each other to form -CH=CH- or -C≡C-, Z is a bond or 1-10C alkylidenyl, A is a bond, -O-, -S-, CH=CH-, etc., and R<3> is R<4> (R<4> is -COOH, 5-tetrazoyl, etc.), a group represented by formula II [where R<6> is H, 1-4C alkyl, etc., W is a bond or a divalent 1-8C residue of hydrocarbyl and (p) is 0 or 1], etc. The compd. represented by the formula I is produced from a compd. represented by formula III as starting material. |
