PURPOSE:To obtain the subject wool fibers having antimicrobial and deodorizing properties of washfastness by conjugating a specified antimicrobial and deodoriz ing agent rich in water solubility to a chlorinated wool through an ionic bond. CONSTITUTION:Wool fibers are chlorinated, then treated with an antimicrobial and deodorizing agent which has high hydrophilicity and bears 2 or more amino groups, for example, O-[2,6-diamino-2,6-dideoxy-alpha-D-glucopyranosyl(1 4)]1,3- diamino-4,5,6-trihydroxycyclohexane to form ion bonds to the wool whereby the objective antimicrobial and deodorizing wool fibers washable without felting are obtained. |
