PURPOSE:To provide a measuring apparatus for pressure, volume and temperature characteristics, which does not require independent charts for correction to be prepared for every amount of measuring auxiliary material. CONSTITUTION:When a measured value is Va at pressure Pt and at temperature Tn, a volumetric error Vs at pressure Pt and at temperature Tn is calculated from a chart showing the correlation among the volumetric error due to distortion, the pressure and the temperature of an apparatus. The volume (vf) of a measuring auxiliary material F per specific mass Ws at pressure Pt and at temperature Tn is calculated from a chart showing the correlation among the pressure, volume and temperature of the measuring auxiliary material F, and is multiplied by the ratio of the actual mass Wf of the measuring auxiliary material to the mass Ws so as to find the true volume Vf of the measuring auxiliary material F. The volumetric error Vs and the true volume Vf of the measuring auxiliary material F calculated are subtracted from the volume measured value Va so as to find the true value Vf of a sample R. |
