<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the luminous decay time of an electroluminescence element and further provide an electronic type printing device which utilizes the electroluminescence element and can perform high-speed printing. CONSTITUTION:An EL light emitting layer 4 is disposed between an EL upper electrode 6 and an EL lower electrode 2 with first and second insulating layers 3, 5 therebetween, respectively, while a heating resistor 8 is placed and supported on the EL upper electrode 6 with a third insulating layer 7 therebetween. It is so designed that, after drive signals are impressed between the EL upper electrode 6 and the EL lower electrode 2, heat from the heating resistor 8 which generates heat by the supply of power is transmitted to the EL light emitting layer 4, and that a luminous decay time is shortened by the lowering of probability of radiant transition due to the heat transmitted to said layer 4.</p> |
