发明名称 SACCHARIDE ANALYZING METHOD AND APPARATUS
摘要 PURPOSE:To increase the electron receiving and accepting numbers in a detector per one molecule of saccharide and detect saccharide with high sensitivity by reacting a sample containing saccharide with periodic acid and electrochemically detecting the concentration of iodic acid in the reaction products. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a solvent 6 is led to flow in a flow route at a prescribed rate and a saccharide sample is led out of a sample introducing part 3, the sample is separated from into saccharide components by a column 4. The separated saccharide components are mixed with periodic acid reagent flow, which is led out of a flow route 7, at a flow joining part 12 and sent to a reaction coil 11. In the reaction coil 11, reaction to each saccharide component proceeds and the reaction products are led to an electrochemical detector 14 through a cooling tower 13. In the electrochemical detector 14, iodic acid ion IO3<-> produced by the prescribed reaction is reduced and thus the receiving and accepting electrons is carried out. The electrons involved in the reduction reaction are detected as current by the functional electrode 15 and the current is recorded in a recorder 21 after passing an amplifying circuit 20.
