<p>PURPOSE:To provide a golf club head showing an elastic behavior within the range of the compression deformation generated by the collision of a face body with a ball, having rigidity almost synchronizing to the deformation of the ball and characterized by that the face body has abrasion resistance and durability capable of sufficiently withstanding long-term use. CONSTITUTION:A face body 13 having an elastomer layer 11 composed of a rubbery elastomer and the metal plate 12 fixed to the surface of the elastomer layer is provided to the recessed part 10 formed to the face part of the head main body 10 of a golf club. The peripheral edge part of the metal plate is bonded to the inner bottom surface of the recessed part 10 by an adhesive 14.</p> |
