METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FORMING HIGH-RESOLUTION PICTURE OF NONPLANAR BODY

PURPOSE: To form the image of high resolving power of non-planar object by scanning the object and covering the entire surface of the object with a means of a linear array of optical sensing elements and evaluating a continuous image in slightly defferent levels. CONSTITUTION: Non-planar object 21 restricted by vol. 22 is scanned is different levels by linear arrays 23 (1)-23 (5) of a plurality of optical sensing elements 24. The object 21 is positioned with respect to an optical element 25 and the image thereof is scanned to be formed a plurality of times and respective scannings are performed in different levels to cover a narrow rectangular element. These slice images are compared by an image selector to consider that there is certain time delay between adjacent levels when the surface of the whole is swept by using one array. The optical sensing element 24 is arranged at a certain level to well cover the surface and a looking direction is shown by an arrow 26. Scanning covers all of small surfaces of the object 21. High resolving capacity is achieved by the optical element 25 capable of forming the desired size of the object 21 and the caliber of the optical element 25 is selected on the basis of the dimension of the object 21.
