<p>PURPOSE:To remove the dirty ingredient of the used rolling mill lubricant which is not of emulsion type by blowing the humidified air of the temperature lower than that of the rolling mill lubricant. CONSTITUTION:The rolling mill lubricant injected from a spray nozzle 7 in hot rolling of a rolled stock 9 by a rolling mill 8 is collected into a dirty tank 1, and the dirty ingredients containing metallic powders, worn particle or the like in the rolling mill lubricant are coagulated by adding water to the rolling mill lubricant and removed. The air whose temperature and humidity are controlled is blown into the rolling mill lubricant 2 from an air supplying tube 16 where a number of small holes are provided at the bottom of the dirty tank 1 in order to generate bubbling. The temperature is controlled by an air supplying pump 12, a heater 13, a humidifying device 14, a cooler heater 15 so that the inequality Ta<Tc may be satisfied between Ta: the temperature of the air to be supplied into the rolling mill lubricant 2, and Tc: the temperature of the rolling mill lubricant. The humidity may be an arbitrary value between zero and 100% according to the water content in the targeted rolling mill lubricant.</p> |
