METHOD FOR SEPARATING GASEOUS ALKENE FROM GAS MIXTURE CONTAINING GASEOUS ALKENE AND NOT LESS THAN ONE KIND OF ALKANES

PURPOSE: To efficiently separate a gaseous alkene from a gaseous alkane by adsorbing the alkene preferentially to a layer of 4A zeolite. CONSTITUTION: In this method of separating the gaseous alkene from the gaseous mixture of gaseous alkene and one or more kinds of alkane groups, the alkene is adsorbed preferentially from the gaseous mixture by a pressure swing adsorption by passing the gaseous mixture through at least one bed 10 of an adsorbing agent of 4A zeolite at a temp. ranging from 50 to 200 deg.C. The alkene absorbed by the bed 10 is desorbed under a condition of decreased pressure. Consequently it is possible to separate efficiently the gaseous alkene from the gaseous alkane with less cooling amount.
