PURPOSE:To provide a fabric having new touch feel and functions, comprising of splittable conjugate fibers and natural fibers, thus widely applicable from sheer cloths to thick cloths, from outerwear to underwear, and also to industrial uses. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a fabric is woven using (A) conjugate fibers as warps, which are splittable, after hot water treatment, into single fibers each <1.0 denier in fineness, composed of (a) hot water-soluble component consisting of a copolyester of terephthalic acid as the main acid component with 8-15mol% of sodium 5-sulfoisophthalate and 5-40mol% of isophthalate and a hot water- insoluble component such as polyethylene terephthalate and, (B) as wefts, natural fibers such as cotton at the weight ratio A/B of 90:10 to 10:90. Then, the fabric is put to scouring process by desizing under hot water treatment to dissolve and eliminate the hot water-soluble component, and then subjected to normal dyeing finish, thus obtaining the objective fabric. |
