<p>PURPOSE:To provide the plant for converting harmful carbon dioxide into useful methanol where waste gas containing carbon dioxide and hydrogen gas in a multipurpose high-temperature gas furnace utilizing thermal energy from a nuclear reactor are introduced into a tractor and heated with the waste heat from the high-temperature gas furnace. CONSTITUTION:A large amount of carbon dioxide in harmful waste gas is directly converted into industrially useful methanol by utilizing the waste heat at high temperature from a multipurpose high-temperature gas furnace 2 heat a methanol reactor 5 which is at least provided with a means for introducing the waste gas containing carbon dioxide from a variety of plants such as a thermal power plant and the hydrogen gas from a hydrogen generator 3 in the multi-purpose high-temperature gas furnace 2 which utilizes the thermal energy from a nuclear reactor, and with another means for heating the methanol reactor with the waste heat from the high-temperature gas furnace.</p> |
