PURPOSE:To provide an esterase-inhibiting polypeptide or its homopolymer exhibiting an esterase-inhibiting activity and a cathepsin G-inhibiting activity and substantially not exhibiting a trypsin-inhibiting activity. CONSTITUTION:The esterase-inhibiting polypeptide having an amino acid sequence represented by 50 amino acid residues corresponding to the Arg<58>-Ala<107> of the amino acid sequence of SLPI, an amino acid sequence represented by 49 amino acid residues corresponding to the Arg<59>-Ala<107>, their part having the esterase-inhibiting activity, or the biologically equivalent amino acid sequence, or their homopolymers, and their production method, medical preparations containing the substances, etc. |
