PURPOSE:To increase reflection, to suppress vibration leakage from a driven member and to obtain a stable high output by providing a vibration insulating member having different acoustic impedance from that of the driven member at part of an interior or exterior of the driven member disposed at an end face of an ultrasonic vibrator to be rotated at a central axis of a bending vibration as a center. CONSTITUTION:Piezoelectric elements 8, 9 are interposed to be held between an upper resonator 4 and a lower resonator 5 to form an ultrasonic vibrator 2, and a rotor 6 is brought into pressure contact with the upper end face. The rotor 6 is formed of a ringlike rotor body 6a of aluminum alloy and a vibration insulating member 28 of polymer material having lower acoustic impedance than that of the aluminum alloy disposed inside the body 6a, and a bearing 27 is provided between the interior and a clamping member 7. Thus, an ultrasonic vibration propagated from the vibrator 2 to the body 6a is not leaked to the member 7 through the bearing 27 due to a difference of the impedance from the member 28 or further externally to obtain a stable high output. |
