PURPOSE:To reduce cost and to miniaturize the copying machine by starting copying operation after one cycle of movement of an original platen when it is detected that a driving gear reaches a copying starting position. CONSTITUTION:Whether or not time counted by a timer TPR attains a fixed time TM required for finishing prerotation is decided. When the decided result shows NO, copying is not started and the original platen 2 is allowed to perform one cycle of movement in the case a large-diameter planet gear 10b reaches a spot being the starting position. The endless gear 8, that is, the original platen 2 linearly moves by the rotation of the large-diameter planet gear 10b and a small-diameter planet gear 10c meshing with the endless gear 8, and driving force is directly transmitted from a main motor to a photosensitive body and the gears 10b and 10c not through a clutch mechanism, then one cycle of movement of the original platen for scanning an original is performed with one copying operation. |
