<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a printer where the size of a developing part is made small, whose cost is low and which has high printing quality by performing printing while moving a carriage equipped with a transfer part and a fixing part at a right angle to a recording paper feeding direction. CONSTITUTION:Printing units 3a and 3b are mounted on the carriages, and printing is performed while the respective carriages are respectively moved along a shaft 21 in parallel with the surface of recording paper 2 at the right angle to an advancing direction at the same time. The printing units 3a and 3b are provided with the fixing parts 37 and 39 which are made to be opposed by putting the recording paper 2 between them at a backward position in the moving direction of the respective carriages with respect to a photosensitive drum 31 or the transfer part 38, and a toner image transferred on the recording paper 2 is fixed when the respective carriages are moved. When the carriage is restored to a home position, the printing unit gets in a state floating from the recording paper 2. By thus making a light emitting device 35 emit light according to an image signal, the latent image of the desired image is formed on the photosensitive drum 31.</p> |
