PURPOSE:To process a character with a voiced sound symbol or a semi-voiced sound symbol as one character even when the character with the voiced sound symbol or the semivoiced sound symbol is written in two adjacent character frames. CONSTITUTION:This processor is provided with a synthesis mechanism 14 for converting two characters respectively recognized by a character recognition part 11 to one character with the voiced sound symbol or the semi-voiced sound symbol. When the character immediately before the voiced sound symbol or the semivoiced sound symbol recognized as one independent character is the valid character with the voiced sound symbol or the semivoiced sound symbol, the synthesis mechanism 14 converts the character immediately before to one character with the voiced sound symbol or the semivoiced sound symbol. |
