<p>The lever 1 is of the type in which the rotations around a fulcrum 6 are controlled by a safety mechanism 13 which permits angular movements of the lever only if turned by the operator to the release position. According to the invention, the mechanism is made up of at least one rack device. In a preferred form of embodiment, there are two racks 12, 13, each comprising a fixed toothing 12A, 13A and a mobile toothing 12B, 13B which mesh frontally together in an arc of a circle, as an effect of the action of a preloaded spring 15. The fixed toothings are positioned on the top of the box 8 of the lever while the mobile ones are fixed at the bottom end of a tubular body 14 mounted freely around the rods of the lever 1A in such a way as to be made to rotate and, at the same time, to move along its axis following a pulling action exerted on it by the operator in contrast to the action of the preloaded spring 15. The axial displacement of the tubular body provokes disengagement of the toothing of both racks, making it possible as a consequence to rotate the lever in one sense or the other. <IMAGE></p> |
