<p>PURPOSE:To provide an optical semiconductor device of high integration level, without deteriorating characteristics. CONSTITUTION:Light emitting elements and photo detecting elements are so arranged that a light emitting element 1a and a photo detecting element 2a, and a light emitting element 1b and a photo detecting element 2b form the respective light emitting - photo detecting elements. That is, the light emitting - photo detecting elements are mounted so as to face each other. Thereby two circuits can be mounted in the same package in which one circuit only can be mounted in the conventional case, without reducing the areas of output elements 3a, 3b, so that the level of integration of an optical semiconductor device can be increased without deteriorating characteristics as the result of the increase of resistance value.</p> |
