PURPOSE: To obtain an element for radiation detection, specially, a photographic element which contains a radiation detection composition, e.g. a silver halide emulsion. CONSTITUTION: This composition has maximum sensitivity wavelengthλpeaksens and actualizes an element which decreases in sensitivity almost atλpeaksens. Absorber coloring matter having prescribed features has the effect that sensitivity variation that the element shows is reduced unless the coloring matter is contained. Namely, the absorber coloring matter increases a wavelength range wherein the sensitivity is relatively constant. This element is sensitive, preferably, to the infrared range.
