PURPOSE:To obtain a voice synthesizer which continues voice synthesizing processing from a previous processing without designating a starting position of the voice synthesizing processing by a user when a power supply is turned on again. CONSTITUTION:A voice synthesis processing section 140 has a voice synthesis condition keeping function 163 which keeps the completion position information that shows the position where the voice synthesis processing on document data are completed and the synthesis condition information in a nonvolatile storage medium, a processing starting position instructing function 164 which instructs the processing starting position on the document data based on the completion position information kept in the nonvolatile storage medium right after the power is turned on and a synthesis processing execution function 165 which executes voice synthesis processing based on the instructions from the function 164. |
