PURPOSE:To simplify the combinational print work by enlarging a prescribed range of a character document and that of a photographic document by magnifications independent of each other and synthesizing them and enlarging and printing them. CONSTITUTION:After an area to be used in the character picture document is designated by a digitizer 64, this print range is read as a binary picture by a scanner 50 and is stored in a first memory 94A. For example, coloring and editing work or the like is stored in the first memory 94A too. Next, the photographic picture document is set on the digitizer 64, and an area to be used as a photographic picture in this document is designated, and a print color is inputted, and thereafter, this document is read by the scanner 50. Data of the character picture which is already processed and is stored in the first memory 94A is read out synchronously with this read. At this time, the character picture and the photographic picture are enlarged by respective magnifications so that the width of each of designated ranges coincides with a prescribed enlargement size, and both data are synthesized and are printed out. |
