PURPOSE:To generate high-definition image quality and hue which are not obtained in a conventional color cathode ray tube by basically changing the structure of the fluorescent surface of the conventional color cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION:A barrack coating layer 12 provided with a stripe state or dot state hole 12a is provided on the inner surface of a face plate 11 constituting a part of an envelope. A color filter layer 13 in which red, green and blue filter particle layers 13a to 13c are alternately provided is formed in the hole 12a of the layer 12. The color cathode ray tube is constituted by uniformly providing a fluorescent layer 14 including the mixture of two or more kinds of phosphors on the layers 12 and 13. |
