<p>PURPOSE:To provide an organic EL element which does not cause nonuniformity of brightness and has excellent light emitting stability by setting the size of a microcrystal grain on the surface coming into contact with a light emitting layer or an electron implanting transporting layer of a transparent or semitransparent electrode not more than specific angstrome. CONSTITUTION:An organic EL element has mutually opposed two electrodes, and is constituted by arranging an electron implanting transporting layer composed of an organic compound between the two electrodes where at least one electrode is transparent or semitransparent among these electrodes. Here, as for the size of a microcrystal grain on the surface coming into contact with a light emitting layer or the electron implanting transporting layer of the transparent or semitransparent electrode in the organic El element, the diameter or the long axis must be not more than 500Angstrom . When the size of the microcrystal grain is larger than 500Angstrom , owing to a result that a local recess and projection becomes large, high voltage is generated, and this becomes a cause of producing nonuniformity of brightness, and accelerates degradation in its turn, and light emitting stability is deteriorated. Crystallization of the organic compound is accelerated, and the nonuniformity of brightness and deterioration of emissivity are caused.</p> |
