APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRACKING OF OBJECT BY CAMCORDER

PURPOSE: To provide a device which can track and pick up an object with simple constitution and make a camcorder small-sized and lightweight by switching a picking up direction of the camcorder as the object sensed by an object movement sensing means moves. CONSTITUTION: An amplification part 210 of an object movement sensing means 200 amplifies and outputs electric signals P1 to P4 outputted from a photoelectric converting means 120 and a comparing circuit 220 after converting amplified signals P1 to P4 into digital signals compares them each other to judge a direction where the object deviates from a picking up center. A control circuit 230 outputs a control signal for correcting the deviated center. A direction switching means 300 consists of an up/down movement part 310 which moves up and down the picking up direction of a camcorder according to the switching control signal of the picking up direction outputted from the object movement sensing means 200 and a right-left movement part 340 which moves it to the right and left. This direction switching means 300 switches the picking up direction of the camcorder with the control signal outputted from the body movement sensing means 200 so as to position the object in the center of the picking up direction.
