摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a thin metal film type magnetic recording medium excellent in running property, durability and preservability. CONSTITUTION:A thin ferromagnetic metal film is formed on a nonmagnetic substrate and a protective layer contg. at least one kind of thiouracil ring compd. having a hydrocarbon group and at least one kind of fluorine compd. having a hydrocarbon group or a protective layer contg. at least one kind of tetrazaindene ring compd. and at least one kind of fluorine compd. having a hydrocarbon group is formed on the thin ferromagnetic metal film. The resulting magnetic recording medium does not form rust even after repeated running.
