PURPOSE:To provide the small-sized, stable, and highly efficient short-wavelength light source which is required for the high-density recording of an optical disk, image processing, etc. CONSTITUTION:An external resonator type semiconductor laser 101 and an internal resonator type solid laser are combined together to obtain stable green or blue short-wavelength laser light, and an external resonator mirror 103 is installed outside the projection end surface 107 of the laser light to obtain highly efficient short-wavelength light with small-sized constitution. Further, the highly efficient short-wavelength light source which is stable is obtained even when wavelength conversion is performed by using a polarized inversion waveguide instead of the internal resonator type solid laser. |
