PURPOSE:To surely and simply confirm an unread message quickly. CONSTITUTION:When a review switch is operated in the standby state (a101), the presence of a message is discriminated (a102) and the presence of an unread message is discriminated (a104). When no unread message is in existence, the mode is transited to the unread message display mode (a104B) and when an unread message is in existence, the mode is transited to the unread message display mode (a104A). In the unread message display mode, the unread message is displayed (a105) and when a review switch RV is depressed, the presence of succeeding message display data is discriminated (a108) and the message is displayed (a105). When no succeeding message is in existence, this fact is also displayed (a110).
