PURPOSE:To use a single addition agent and delay hardening easily and definitely and prevent a work from being exploded in a dry process after the execution of work by adding a specific amount of sodium bicarbonate to monolithic refractories which contain alumina cement and sodium phosphate as a binding agent. CONSTITUTION:In terms of monolithic refractories which contain alumina cement and sodium phosphate as a binding agent, a roughly 0.01 to 0.5wt.% of sodium bicarbonate is added. This construction makes it possible to eliminate the need for the application of addition agents (hardening delay agent and explosion prevention agent) like the prior art practice and hence prevent a material design from being sophisticated or workability from being degraded resultant from the application of different agents separately, and also, to secure required serviceable time by delaying hardening in hot working time and protect a work from being exploded in a dry process. |
