In an appts for deposition of a thin layer of an edible prod, solid or liq, onto a foodstuff, the prod is deposited on the internal walls of the container destined to contained the foodstuff by: (a) spraying fixation agent onto internal walls of container at prim spraying station (2), (b) spraying prod in direction of container walls at sec spraying station (3), (c) applying high voltage to prod prior to reaching container walls, and (d) filling container with foodstuff. USE/ADVANTAGE - Decoration of charcuterie prods, chocolate and cakes. Prepn of speciality cheese prods using hot moulded cheese (claimed). Static electric charge on prod particles assured homogeneous distribution of particles on container walls. Fixing agent prevents particles falling from walls. All foodstuff surfaces are coated in a hygienic manner.
