PURPOSE:To display a screen that can be clearly identified by evolving each item included in the item information from the head digit position accordant with each level and therefore by easily discriminating a header from a component item in the group items having a hierarchical structure. CONSTITUTION:The item information 13 of a maintenance symmetrical data file 1 consists of the levels showing the hierarchical relations among the item, the item, the attributes and the digit numbers of item data. An automatic screen format definer generation processing part 2 generates a screen format definer 12 including the group items arranged in an easy-to-see way based on the information 13. Therefore, an item evolving position designating means 4 refers to a level evolution table 3 to designate the evolving digit positions so that each item of the information 13 is evolved into the digit position accordant with each item level. An evolution processing means 5 evolves the item data based on the evolving digit position designated by the means 4 and produces the definer 12. |
