PURPOSE:To record and reproduce a stereoscopic picture through the use of a single optical system by forming a picture having a parallax on a film, converting the picture into a digital video signal after development processing and recovering stereoscopic information through the use of processing parameter. CONSTITUTION:A film subject to exposure and magnetic recording is developed and recording information such as pitch information of a lens array is read from a magnetic recording area and the information is processed by a reproduction circuit 41 and the result is fed to a correlation detection circuit 25. Succeedingly light information of one row at an image of the film is read by a line sensor 21. The read video signal is converted into a digital value by an A/D converter 23 and stored in a memory 24. In this case since adjacent rows correspond to a picture obtained from a field angle, each row is recorded in each memory area alternately as pictures R, L. The pictures R, L are divided into small areas and depth information is calculated by an arithmetic operation circuit 26. A display circuit 27 generates a contour line expression of the image of the object or its perspective view based on the depth information and the result is displayed on a monitor 30. |
