Drum rotor for an impulse steam turbine including moving discs made up of blades, of which the roots, equipped with widened parts, are immobilised in grooves formed in the rotor, characterised in that the grooves are longitudinal over a part of the rotor (6) and in that the roots (8) of the blades of a moving disc (10) are separated from the roots (8) of the blades of a neighbouring moving disc (10) by spacer pieces (12).
