The surface treatment appliance (1) has a liquid (9) filled tank (8) connected by a pipe (7) at least part of which is in the form of a spiral hose (6), to at least one outlet (5) situated near the wiper, dirt remover or distributor. The liquid is conveyed from the tank to the liquid outlets by one or more pump units (13). The wiper, remover or distributor is positioned on a telescopic holder bar (2) on the lower end (10) of which the tank is detachably fixed. The pump unit and pipe, inside the hollow handle, have a lever mechanism (15) outside the handle, with piston (14) moving against spring (16) force and driving the pump. Between the pump unit and the outlet is a check valve (18) acting against spring (19) force. USE/ADVANTAGE - No separate liquid container is required. Instead the wiper, dirt remover or distributor incorporates a tank.
