Apparatus for propelling a toy vehicle comprises an open ended air hose 2, which is straddled by a vehicle 1 carrying a roller 7 which presses the hose, whereby the vehicle is moved along the hose towards the open end 6 by means of air pressure applied at the other end by the opening of a valve 4. In a modification, Fig. 3, the hose may be divided into parallel parts 2', 2" controlled by a differential valve 14 whereby pressure may be applied to one or other of the said tubes 2', 2". The difference in the tube pressures causes tilting of the pressure roller 7 so that steering of the vehicle via the front axle is effected through the medium of bellcranks 10 and links 12.</p> |
