<p>An electrolysis apparatus for producing hydrogen by decomposing electrolytic liquid with the aid of electric current into hydrogen and oxygen in a pressurized electrolytic cell (11) positioned within a pressure shell (10) maintained pressurized with the pressure of oxygen produced in electrolysis. The oxygen produced in the electrolytic cell (11) is conducted into the pressure shell (10) and the hydrogen is conducted into a hydrogen container (29). The hydrogen and oxygen stores may also be positioned within the pressure shell (10), whereby they have been separated by a diaphragm or wall not penetrating gases.</p> |
