<p>A chair has a seat (1) and a back (2) which are supported by front and rear legs (3, 4) whose free ends can be applied against the chair-supporting structure and which are articulated to one another and hence pivotable between an unfolded position and a folded-up position. Elements (8) are connected to at least some of the legs (3, 4) and support rolling elements (9), e.g. wheels, which occupy an inoperative position not lower than the level of the free ends of the legs (or supporting plates (6) therefor) when these are in the unfolded position and which are forcedly maintained in an operative position at least partly below the level of the leg ends (or supporting plates) in order to keep these raised from the chair-supporting structure, thus allowing displacement of the chair by rolling on the rolling elements (9).</p> |
