摘要 The damping valve (21) is located against a shoulder in the bottom of the tubular damper (3) by a clamping sleeve (25). This grips the inside wall of the housing through friction force and is removable using a puller. Additional location force on the valve is via axial pressure from the sleeve, through interaction with the piston. The sleeve has an O-ring seal fitting into a groove with the damper cylinder wall. The hydraulic pressure in the cylinder adds to the clamping pressure on the sleeve. The bottom of the piston is shaped to press on to the sleeve, or has a pressure element fitted to interact with the sleeve. ADVANTAGE - Simple to change damping valve to alter damper action. Universal damper design for range of applications.
